Radiology Technologists at OCR perform prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols while ensuring optimal care/treatment to our patient population. 


The successful candidate has excellent communication skills, is knowledgeable in their field, values teamwork, and takes pride in producing quality work. They will also make patient confidentiality/privacy and safety their priority.

This position may be required to travel between the other OCR locations on an as-needed basis.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct patient and exam identification
  • Educate patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation
  • Achieve high level image quality through proper patient positioning; performs diagnostic procedures as required; and works to resolve any quality issues with images
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary
  • Prepares and maintains accurate documentation including supply inventories
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Is proficient in the technical operation of all diagnostic equipment; uses proper care in handling equipment.
Requirements
  •  Associate's degree from a certified Radiologic Technology program
  • Current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current and valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to multiple locations.
  • At least 1 year of Imaging experience in a similar healthcare setting is preferred 

Work Environment

This position works in a typical medical office environment. There are regular interruptions and significant distractions to work including, but not limited to: phones ringing; patients and staff walking by; noisy conversations that carry; and answering questions asked by others. The person in this position must frequently communicate with patients, doctors, coworkers, and others utilizing various equipment such as telephones, cell phones, text/instant messaging, email, and other means. 

 

This position frequently moves around the clinic for up to 8 hours a day; and frequently assists patients in turning, as well as both rising from and returning to exam tables, beds, and/or wheelchairs. This position also frequently pushes wheelchairs and must be able to move or lift up to 25 pounds.

Salary Description
$26.00 - $37.00/hour, commensurate with experience
